New Armoured Route: Warsaw–Frankfurt Weekly Consolidated Service

A fixed Thursday departure now connects our Warsaw vault with partner vaults in Frankfurt, cutting per-kilogram transit costs for smaller consignments and giving clients a predictable weekly rhythm for cross-border movements.

From this month Real Vault operates a scheduled armoured service between Warsaw and Frankfurt every Thursday. The route is roughly 1,100 kilometres each way via the A2, the German A12 and A9, and is driven by a two-person escort team in a GPS-tracked armoured vehicle with a second vehicle following on the German leg. Departure is early morning from Wawer; delivery to partner vaults in the Frankfurt area is the same day.

The service is designed for clients who move smaller quantities regularly — dealers rebalancing stock between two markets, family offices consolidating holdings, refiners returning finished bars — and who have until now had to charter a dedicated vehicle for each movement. Because the vehicle runs every week regardless of load, we can price by the kilogram rather than by the trip, which typically reduces the cost of a 5-to-25-kilogram consignment by more than half.

Security is identical to a dedicated movement. Each consignment is sealed in a tamper-evident container in our intake room in the presence of two officers, photographed, and logged with its seal numbers. Containers are never opened in transit. At the destination vault, the seals are checked and the handover is signed by our escort and the receiving custodian; that signed record is uploaded to your portal, alongside the departure record, usually within twenty-four hours.

Insurance cover for the route is provided under our specie policy at full replacement value, with no separate premium for standard consignments. Declared values are recorded against each container, and our underwriters have approved the route and the escort arrangements.

The cut-off for a Thursday departure is Tuesday at 4 PM. Requests are raised in the client portal under Requests → Shipment, selecting the deposit or the specific bars to move and entering the destination vault. Our operations desk confirms every booking by phone before departure, and the request status moves from Pending to Approved, In transit and Delivered as the day progresses.

We are already discussing a similar fixed service to Zürich for early 2027, and a monthly consolidated air movement to Dubai. Clients who would use either route regularly are invited to let us know their expected volumes so that we can size the vehicles and the insurance limits accordingly.
